What I Can Help With

Trauma / PTSD

Experiencing a traumatic event or bearing witness to an extremely traumatic event can massively affect our psychological and emotional wellbeing. Feeling like your life and safety is put at risk can shatter your sense of security and leave you with a feeling of helplessness.

Loss/Bereavement and Grief

Losing a friend or loved one can affect all parts of your life. This experience can change you as a person and often you will not emerge on the other side as the same person, as all our experiences shape us. Instead, bereavement is about acceptance, learning to adjust to life without the person but being able to find a place to keep their memories alive.

Grief includes feelings of deep sadness to anger and is a result of experiencing loss of any kind. How long one experience loss and grief for differs from individual to individual. There is no right or wrong way to experience loss and grief. You don’t have to go through it on your own.

Bereavement

The feelings can become less overtime as you learn to grow around your grief. The Triangle Therapist will help provide a safe space and time you need to talk through your feelings including your loved one who has died. Everyone’s process is different so one can’t tell how long any individual’s process will last for.

Sexual Abuse

Sexual abuse describes any type of sexual activity which is unwanted. Different types of sexual abuse include forced sex (rape), receiving unwanted sexual images/messages (sexting), being touched in a sexual way without your permission (sexual assault), being forced to have sex for money (sexual exploitation) or being bullied in a sexual way (sexual harassment).

Depression

Depression, unlike grief and occasional sadness, can affect all our daily lives. But often because of the confusion regarding what is classed as depression, people often delay seeking help.
